I always thought I'd, you know, sort of transition into this new phase after the kids left for college, maybe pick up a new hobby or something. But it’s been... quiet. Too quiet, I guess. All my daily chats, the quick errands, even just waving to other parents at school pick-up, they're just GONE now. I spent so long being "Mom" or "the one who volunteers," and now I'm not really sure who I am without all that, and it's a bit frightening, kind of.
