i’m sitting here at exactly 2:44 am and i’ve got 114 intro to bio papers stacked on my kitchen table which is actually just a folding card table i bought at target three years ago and my red pen is literally running out of ink halfway through circleing the same three mistakes in a row ... i’m 31 years old and i have a master’s and i’m halfway through this phd but i feel like i’m just moving air around in a room. i’m looking at these diagrams of punnett squares and mendelian inheritance patterns and all i can think about is my dad’s hands and how they always smelled like cedar shavings and mineral spirits back in oakhaven.
