I saw a story about some fashion student, you know, wearing all these designer clothes, taking pictures for their thousands of followers and then just returning everything to the store right away, and honestly? My first thought wasn't "that's wrong" or anything, it was more like, "GOOD FOR THEM." Because, I spent my whole career, like, trying to climb that ladder, always performing, always showing up in the right outfit for the big meeting, and you know what? Most of it was just an act anyway. All those "power lunches" and the golf games, it’s all just... presentation, isn't it? So yeah, this kid getting thousands of likes just for putting on a show, well, I get it. A lot of life is just faking it till you make it, and sometimes you don’t even make it, you just keep faking it, and THAT’S what everyone buys into. It's kinda brilliant, really.
