I went to this thing last night, a networking deal, up on some rooftop bar with twinkle lights and all that jazz, felt kinda out of place just sipping my fizzy drink while everyone else was doing their air-kissing and clinking glasses and acting like they’ve known each other forever, you know? Like, back home, everyone *actually* knows everyone, so this whole "meet new people" thing just feels… different, like I’m watching a play or something, and I’m just standing there, not even a good extra, just kinda… there. And it’s not even sad, really, it just IS.
