I saw a post earlier about some young designer sacrificing their weekend for a senior colleague, redesigning a whole project, and it just hit me, you know? Like, I spent my whole career doing that kind of thing. Always worried someone would think I wasn't a team player, especially with those damn performance reviews looming. So many family things I missed, so many plans that just—poof!—vanished because some deadline came up or some V.P. needed something "ASAP." And for what, really? To be seen as "cooperative"? Ugh.
