I saw a post earlier about some young designer sacrificing their weekend for a senior colleague, redesigning a whole project, and it just hit me, you know? Like, I spent my whole career doing that kind of thing. Always worried someone would think I wasn't a team player, especially with those damn performance reviews looming. So many family things I missed, so many plans that just—poof!—vanished because some deadline came up or some V.P. needed something "ASAP." And for what, really? To be seen as "cooperative"? Ugh. Still kinda makes my blood boil, honestly.
