I genuinely don't understand the emotional valence of consistently being the *only* one for a parent's medical appointments (while juggling the children, of course) when there are… others… who simply *cannot* find the time for that particular filial obligation. It's not resentment, I don't think – more an intellectual perplexity regarding human behavior, a cognitive dissonance I can't resolve.
