i guess this is kinda dumb but it’s been bugging me for ages. like my history teacher in high school— he was so into the curriculum and the textbook and everything. and i remember thinking even then like... that's NOT the full story. like they skip so much stuff about how our country started and colonization is so much messier than that. he just like blindly taught it and i feel kinda mad about it now. like how can you not see it??? it makes me wonder what else they just... dont teach us lol.
